Improve Your Sales through Packaging
Packaging is all about how the product is presented to the consumer. It entails the physical appearance that will make the consumer select it and leave the other products. If the package that holds the product becomes appealing enough, the customer might end up purchasing it even though it was not it their budget. Exhaustive research done reveals that most customers do impulse buying because of how the product is packaged. Thus, one of the ways you can make your sales shoot up is by designing a new improved package.
Packaging is all about the message. The message should be written clearly for all to read. It is not a must that you use writings, you can as well use logos and symbols that are not difficult to interpret. A package that is clearly written will attract more attention and trust of the consumers than that which has no clear message. The message should state clearly its brand, who it was made for and how to use it.
When you want to get the packaging right, one thing that you do not want to mess with is the color. The whole concept of packaging is greatly influenced by the choice of color used. Different appeals are signified by the different colors. Each color has its own message that the consumer will recognize. Different messages will be of different colors like the instructions, contacts and addresses, ingredients, logo design, etc. Take for example the color for cleaning products and foods and you will see that they differ from children’s products.
Another important detail during packaging is the shape of the package. What is in the package can be at times portrayed by the way he package is shaped. You might find a toothbrush , round ball, toothbrush, toy plane, a curvy bottle, etc. The gender the product was made for might also be visible on the product. For this reason, the targeted gender will be more appealed to purchase the product than the other gender. A package that has provisions for holders is much more convenient than that which has none.
After you have completed all the above, be careful not to exceed the limits. A complicated package will chase your consumers away and also be costly for you. So, just keep it simple. Complicated packages are difficult to recall whereas simple packages will be easily remembered.
Finally, make sure your package does not pollute the environment. Sustainable packaging is the order of the day. You may opt to come up with a package that will still be useful after the product has been used. Your package must also protect the product inside. The package you design must be secure in all aspects.
